Estonia Blocks Transit of Russian Grain Amid Ukraine Conflict
Estonia has banned the transit of Russian and Belarusian grain through its territory, according to the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna.
The ban is in response to Russia's attacks on Ukrainian ports, which have blocked Ukraine's grain exports.
In a post on X, Tsahkna stated that 'Russia attacks Ukrainian ports, blocks grain exports from Ukraine, and then looks for new routes for its own grain. Estonia will not provide it with such a route.'
Tsahkna warned earlier in September that plans to transport Russian grain through Estonia should not be made.
