EU Soft Wheat Exports See Slight Uptick in 2026/27 Season

The European Union's soft wheat exports for the 2026/27 season have seen a significant increase, according to recent data from the European Commission. By September 20th of this year, EU soft wheat exports had totaled 6.30 million metric tons, up 2% compared to the same period last year.

Romania has emerged as the largest EU soft wheat exporter so far in the season, with a total of 2.93 million tons. Lithuania follows closely behind with 1.06 million tons, while Bulgaria and Poland have also been significant exporters, with 0.56 million and 0.51 million tons respectively.

It's worth noting that export data for France has been incomplete since the beginning of 2024, which may impact its ranking as a top exporter. Similarly, Bulgaria, Ireland, and Greece have had incomplete or missing export data due to various reasons such as technical issues or changes in reporting practices.
