EU wheat exports have seen a significant decline at the start of the 2026/27 season. According to data released by the European Commission, soft wheat exports reached 0.70 million tons by August 2, down sharply from 1.79 million tons during the same period last year.

EU barley exports also declined significantly to 0.31 million tons, compared with 1.70 million tons a year ago. In contrast, EU corn imports increased to 1.26 million tons, up from 0.97 million tons in the corresponding period of the previous season.

The European Commission noted that its grain export data remain incomplete due to missing information from several countries, which may have impacted actual export volumes.
