Euronext Wheat Prices Spike Amid Russia-Ukraine Export Fears
Euronext wheat prices have surged to a one-month high due to concerns over potential disruptions to Russian and Ukrainian grain exports.
The December contract on Euronext rose by 0.6% to €246.75 ($287.46) per metric ton, with the benchmark contract touching €249 earlier in the session.
This marked its highest level since July 24, when it reached a contract high of €250.50.
The recent escalation of conflict between Russia and Ukraine has led to reports that Russia is considering increasing ballistic missile strikes on Ukraine, reducing expectations for a quick recovery in Black Sea grain shipments.
