Europe Gas Market Strains Amid Rising Prices, Conflict
The European gas market is facing significant pressure due to various factors, including rising prices and supply chain disruptions.
Russia's attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure have put a strain on gas production in the region, but Ukrainian industry has adapted by planning ahead and contracting necessary volumes of gas several months in advance.
The average spot price at the TTF hub stood at around $550 per thousand cubic metres in June, exceeding $650 by July, with prices continuing to rise in August.
The situation in the Middle East is also affecting global LNG markets, with Qatar's LNG exports expected to plummet due to damaged facilities and ongoing conflict.
