Europe's Gas Prices Skyrocket Amid LNG Export Competition
European natural gas prices surged on Monday due to increased competition for liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes between Europe and Asia.
This uptick in demand comes amidst renewed tensions between the United States and Iran, which has resulted in a significant increase in LNG exports from the U.S. to Asia.
As a result, European imports of LNG reached their highest levels since April, putting pressure on prices.
