Europe's Gas Storage Levels Hit Record Low Ahead of Winter

Europe's gas market is heading into winter with less than optimal storage levels. As of September 17, gas storage on the continent was only 70% full, a record low.

This year's summer has brought warmer weather thanks to El Niño conditions, which could lead to reduced demand for natural gas.

Additionally, Qatar is expected to resume its supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe after a disruption earlier this year. However, Middle East disruptions and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine remain key concerns for European energy markets.
