Everllence Powers Off-Grid Data Center with 480 MW Gas Engine Solution

Everllence has secured a significant contract to supply 480 MW of power for an off-grid data center in the U.S. The company will deliver 24 medium-speed gas engines, each with a capacity of 20 MW, to meet the data center's energy needs.

The engines will run on natural gas and be equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and oxidation catalysts to minimize emissions. This modular setup allows for flexibility and rapid capacity expansion as the project's energy demand grows.

Johann Stocks, Head of Power, Americas at Everllence, highlighted the importance of this contract, stating that it 'strengthens our position in a rapidly evolving digital infrastructure sector.' He noted that medium-speed engines offer a valuable alternative to traditional gas turbines, providing stable power quality and maximum reliability.

The engine delivery is scheduled in two phases, starting mid-2026, with commissioning aligned to the data center's expansion. This solution enables data center operators to establish an independent power system without relying on grid connection, which can take several years to obtain in the U.S.
