EXMAR Secures Long-Term Lease for FSRU in Port of Abidjan
EXMAR has been contracted to provide a floating LNG import solution to Côte d'Ivoire through a long-term lease of a 152,000 m3 and 250 million ft3/d FSRU. The company will operate and maintain the vessel in the Port of Abidjan for 10 years, generating around $21.3 million in EBITDA each year.
The FSRU is expected to meet the increasing demand for gas and electricity in Côte d'Ivoire, which has a growing population and economy. Petroci will source LNG from the international market, import it through EXMAR's FSRU, and deliver regasified LNG to CI-Energies to produce electricity.
President Ouattara prioritized this project at the start of his fourth term, recognizing the importance of a secure energy supply for the country's development. EXMAR is proud to be entrusted with this fast-track LNG import project, which highlights the company's floating infrastructure solutions as a quick and competitive solution for securing strategic energy supply.
