Fake Video Claims Drone Attack on US Vessel in Egypt

A video circulating online claiming to show a drone attack on a US vessel in Egypt has been debunked as false.

The footage, which has garnered over one million views, actually shows a Ukrainian drone striking a Russian-owned ship in the Black Sea on July 24.

The incident predates the actual attack that occurred five days later at Damietta, where a US-owned natural gas storage vessel and a Greek-owned LNG tanker were struck by an unidentified drone.

Egypt's cabinet confirmed that a drone attack caused the fire on the two vessels, but no country or group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
