Florida Gas Prices Soar Amid Ongoing Mideast Tensions

Gas prices in Florida have surged over the past week due to global supply disruptions tied to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. According to AAA, the average gallon of gas in Florida costs $4.28 as of Monday, a 14-cent increase from last week and $1.38 more per gallon than at the end of February when the U.S. and Israel jointly attacked Iran.

The global crude oil price has risen by around 27 percent over the past three weeks, reaching levels not seen since May. AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins attributed the jump in gas prices to 'rising oil prices' and 'ongoing tensions in the Middle East,' which have created uncertainty about global oil supplies.
