France Deploys Troops to Saudi Arabia Amid Rising Oil Prices
French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to deploy troops and military equipment to Saudi Arabia as part of an effort to protect an oil refinery and crude oil pipeline at the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
The deployment, agreed upon with Saudi authorities, will include radar systems and air-defense equipment, but Macron stressed that France is 'not getting involved in any conflict.'
