Freeport LNG Trip Adds Volatility to US Feedgas Demand
The US feedgas demand continues to recover, but recent volatility in nominations was caused by an operational trip at Freeport LNG on Thursday afternoon. This added to existing fluctuations in the market, although gains at other export terminals helped keep national demand on an upward path.
Feedgas deliveries are increasing, with levels reaching nearly a two-week high, while the terminal's operations have returned to normal after the brief disruption.
The Freeport LNG terminal's output was below early-July flows, but overall feedgas demand remains strong. This is due in part to gains at other export terminals, which have helped offset the impact of the temporary outage.
