Froneman Injects Realism into Copper 360 Amid Valuation Concerns
Copper 360, a junior miner, has been told it needs 'a good dose of realism' by its new chair, Neal Froneman. Froneman, former CEO of Sibanye-Stillwater, was appointed to the role on Thursday, replacing Rupert Smith.
Froneman's appointment comes as Copper 360's shares have gained 8% over the past five days, despite being 39% lower than a year ago. The company's valuation remains a concern, especially considering the copper price has risen 1.8% to $14,369.50/t, near its January record.
'A good dose of realism is needed and realistic plans,' Froneman said. He believes his experience in starting new businesses will be beneficial to Copper 360, citing its 'amazing portfolio' of copper assets and strong shareholder support.
