FTSE Edges Higher on Gold Rebound and Miner Gains
London's FTSE 100 index rose 0.5% in early trading Tuesday, buoyed by gains in miners and gold prices rebounding.
Spot gold was up 0.73% at $4,144 after dropping to $4,110 yesterday, while spot silver rose 0.5% to 60.91.
Miners Antofagasta and Anglo American were among the top risers in the FTSE 100, up 2.14% and 1.77%, respectively.
Brent crude oil increased by 0.7% to $98.52, while WTI gained 0.5% to $93.03.
