G7 Countries Unleash Emergency Oil Reserve Release
The G7 countries have agreed to release 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil from their strategic reserves in an effort to ease prices.
This decision comes after US pressure on European nations to accelerate delivery on existing commitments and make additional supply available.
Diesel prices in the UK have reached a record high of 200.01p per liter, surpassing the previous high of 199.09p set in June 2022 when adjusted for inflation would be above 230p.
