GAIL Posts Steady FY26 Performance Amid Global Energy Volatility
GAIL, India's leading natural gas transmission company, has reported a steady financial performance in FY26 despite a volatile global energy environment.
The company's revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,38,697 crore, up from Rs 1,37,288 crore in the previous fiscal year. Profit before tax was Rs 8,964 crore, while profit after tax was Rs 6,968 crore.
GAIL Chairman Deepak Gupta emphasized the importance of balancing energy security with the global transition to cleaner fuels. He pointed out that geopolitical tensions and disruptions to LNG supply chains underscored the need for diversified sourcing, resilient infrastructure, and flexible supply chains.
The company is expanding its natural gas pipeline network, which now stretches beyond 18,690 km. GAIL is also strengthening its LNG shipping capabilities with long-term charter agreements for five vessels. The Dabhol LNG Terminal achieved year-round operations after the completion of the breakwater facility.
