Gas Futures Struggle to Find Traction Amid Bearish Weather
Natural gas futures struggled to find support on Wednesday after three consecutive days of losses. Despite lighter production estimates and steady LNG volumes, the market remained under pressure due to bearish weather forecasts.
The futures market has been grappling with a decline in demand, as reflected by the slide in weather-related consumption. Meanwhile, output remains steady at around 107.5 Bcf/d, adding to the downward pressure on prices.
Despite these factors, LNG feedgas volumes have topped 18 Bcf/d, indicating that imports are still strong. However, this may not be enough to offset the decline in demand and support prices.
