Gas Log LNG Vessel Stable After Incident in Strait of Hormuz

A liquefied natural gas vessel controlled by Greek shipping company Gas Log was stable after an incident while exiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to a statement from the company. The incident occurred on July 31 and affected the Gas Log Shanghai LNG vessel.

The company said that everyone on board is safe and accounted for. An emergency plan was immediately activated, and relevant authorities were notified. The condition of the vessel and its cargo is currently being assessed.

The Gas Log Shanghai had loaded an LNG cargo at Qatar's Rash LAFSA export terminal on July 27-28. Ship-tracking data shows that the vessel reappeared outside the Strait of Hormuz on August 2, and is now off Oman's Musandam Peninsula.
