Gas Malaysia Bhd (GASMSIA.KL) reported a 27% decline in second-quarter net profit to RM72.53 million, down from RM99.12 million in the previous corresponding period.

The lower revenue was primarily attributable to the lower average natural gas selling price, which was mitigated by higher volume of natural gas sold.

For the six-month period ended June 30, 2026, net profit dropped to RM165.37 million from RM199.26 million in the previous corresponding period.

The company declared a first interim dividend of five sen per share on its 1.28 billion ordinary shares, amounting to RM64.2 million in respect of the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
