Arizona's gas prices have dropped slightly this week due to a decline in crude oil prices and optimism over the resumption of normal operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to AAA Arizona, gas prices around the Valley fell by 7 cents over the past week to settle at $4.42 per gallon, with prices decreasing as demand drops and people settle into their fall routines.

Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, noted that Arizonans are still paying about $1.19 more per gallon than they were at this point in 2022.
