Gas Prices Plummet Amid Crude Oil Price Drop
The national average price of regular gasoline has fallen to $4.06 per gallon, down three cents from last week's prices. This decrease is largely attributed to lower crude oil prices, which are currently trading in the $70 per barrel range.
Ominously, half of all states are now paying below $4 per gallon on average, a significant drop in just a short period of time. Experts point out that gas prices typically begin to decline this time of year as schools and universities start their fall semesters, resulting in fewer road trips.
