A severe flood in the Trishuli River has disrupted gas supply in the Kathmandu Valley, forcing industrialists to charge an additional fee of Rs 105.38 per cylinder.

According to Consumer Rights Activist Bishnu Prasad Timalsina, this is 'organized crime,' as industrialists are taking advantage of the situation to increase prices.

The price hike has been implemented despite the Nepal Oil Corporation's Executive Director Nagendra Sah assuring that the additional fee will be removed once the road becomes operational again.
