Russian energy giant Gazprom Export has raised the price of natural gas for Bosnian company Energoinvest, increasing it by 14.42% in the third quarter of this year. The new purchase price will be 0.99019 KM per standard cubic meter of gas.

The decision was made by Gazprom Export, and according to Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Vedran Lakić, Energoinvest has no influence over the price.

Lakić believes that this situation highlights the need for alternative sources of gas supply. He stated that 'it is not only an energy issue, but also a question of our security.'
