GCC and Arab Countries Rally Behind Saudi Arabia After Drone Attacks
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and several Arab countries have expressed their support for Saudi Arabia following drone attacks on oil facilities in the kingdom's Eastern Province.
GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stated that member states stand united with Saudi Arabia and support all measures Riyadh takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Kuwait condemned the attacks as a violation of Saudi sovereignty and affirmed Riyadh's right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Egypt said the targeting of Saudi oil facilities and attacks on Jordan threaten regional stability and global energy security, reaffirming its full support for measures taken by both countries to protect their security and sovereignty.
