Geopolitics, Oil Prices to Steer Stock Market Trends This Week
Market analysts predict that geopolitical events, crude oil prices, and bond yields will be the driving forces behind stock market trends in the upcoming holiday-shortened week. The US-Iran diplomatic talks are a crucial factor for global oil prices, which could impact India's import bill and the rupee.
Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking stated that 'globally, developments around US-Iran diplomacy and crude oil prices will remain critical.' Any progress on a framework for reopening the Strait of Hormuz could ease energy prices and provide relief to India's import bill and the rupee.
The domestic market will also be influenced by industrial production data for August, HSBC manufacturing PMI reading, FII activity, and auto sales figures. Global bond yields are also expected to play a significant role following the Federal Reserve's September policy decision.
