Georgia Gas Prices Plummet to $3.78 Amid Refinery Production Boost
After weeks of increases, gas prices in Georgia have finally started to fall. The statewide average price for regular unleaded gasoline is now $3.78 a gallon, down 3 cents from last week and 11 cents from a month ago.
The decline comes despite crude oil prices remaining elevated at around $80 per barrel amid volatility in the Strait of Hormuz. According to AAA, lower demand and strong refinery production have helped increase fuel supplies and ease prices.
While drivers may see some relief at the pumps for now, they shouldn't get too comfortable. Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA, The Auto Club Group, warns that continued geopolitical uncertainty could quickly put upward pressure on gasoline prices.
