Ghalibaf Warns US: Iran Will 'Unfold' Its Strategy Regardless

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, shared an excerpt from JPMorgan's oil market report on September 17. He referenced the 'Schrödinger's cat' thought experiment and likened the United States' situation in the Strait of Hormuz to being in a 'cabinet with falling plates.'

Ghalibaf stated that Washington displays power while remaining vulnerable, asserting that 'This endgame cannot be modeled. It will unfold, and Iran's hand is on the lever right now.'

The threat comes after JPMorgan's analysts noted that oil is trading above $100 per barrel, with gasoline and diesel prices in the United States elevated. The bank's report highlighted that without a clear sign of de-escalation between Tehran and Washington, assuming energy supply disruptions are merely temporary is becoming increasingly difficult.
