Ghalibaf Warns Washington: No Regional Oil Safe If Iran Cannot Sell Its Own

Tehran's parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a stern warning to Washington, cautioning against 'miscalculations' on Iran's energy exports. Speaking at an online parliamentary session, Ghalibaf stated that if Iran cannot sell its oil, 'no one in the region will sell oil,' and if their security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe.

Ghalibaf's warning comes as Iran faces severe restrictions on its oil exports due to ongoing conflict with Washington and US sanctions. According to the state-run IRNA news agency, Ghalibaf emphasized that the Iranian people must never be frightened by blockade and threats, and that if the American enemy's decision-making machine fails to grasp this fundamental reality, it will remain trapped in a cycle of receiving heavy blows from the Iranian nation.

Separately, IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi described US President Donald Trump as 'a big liar' and called for US forces to leave the Middle East. Mohebi stated that Iran is constantly designing new weapons, upgrading existing ones, and mass-producing armaments to defend itself, and that if confrontations take on a different shape, they will bring new weapons into the field.

Ebrahim Azizi, head of parliament's National Security Committee, has said that Iran is fully prepared for a conflict more intense than what he described as the '40-day war'. Mohebi also pointed to 'long-standing bonds' with 15 neighboring countries and stated that US military bases are 'the only source of insecurity' in the region.
