Gas prices in Gilbert have dropped by 7 cents per gallon this past week, according to AAA Arizona. The current average price for gas is $4.80 a gallon, which is still higher than last year at this time and slightly higher than the previous month. David Caltabiano, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, stated that overall gas prices remain the highest they've ever been for this time of year.

The national average price has dipped back into the $90 per barrel range, which has pulled down the overall gas prices. However, despite this decrease, gas prices remain higher than usual for this time of year. Caltabiano noted that while crude oil prices have decreased, overall gas prices continue to be at historic highs.
