Global Crude Prices Soar to $95/Brent, $90/WTI Amid US-Iran Conflict Escalation
Global crude oil prices surged on Wednesday after a series of US airstrikes against Iranian targets. The price hike saw Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude blends rise to $95.49 and $90.71 per barrel, respectively.
This represents an increase of 0.54% for Brent and 0.84% for WTI over the past day.
The US airstrikes were in retaliation for Iran's targeting of commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and US service members in the region.
