The global market is experiencing a downturn in response to rising tensions across West Asia. Asian markets are feeling the pressure, with key indices like the Kospi and Nikkei trading lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures contracts also slipped by 0.16%.

Crude oil prices surged 2% after US strikes on Iran. The GIFT Nifty indicates a negative start for Indian markets, down 80 points or 0.33%. The BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 closed higher the previous day but were affected by the global cues.

The South Korean index Kospi dropped by 3.5%, while Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 2.16%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures traded lower at 25,472 compared to its last close of 25,584.49.
