Global Stocks Surge as Oil Prices and Bond Yields Recede
The global stock market experienced a significant rally on Monday as oil prices and bond yields receded from their recent surges.
OPEC's Brent oil price dipped 3.4% to $100.29 per barrel, down from nearly $110 last week but still above its summer average of around $72 per barrel.
This decline helped ease pressure on the bond market, with the yield on the 10-year Treasury falling to 4.96%, down from 5.01% at the end of Friday and a 3-year high.
The easing in oil prices and yields contributed to a surge in U.S. stocks, with the S&P 500 rising 1% and nearing its all-time high set last month.
