Gold and silver prices in India are being closely watched on August 27, 2026. The Indian bullion trade is reacting to moves overseas, where safe-haven demand has not cooled. MCX futures looked soft in the last session, but early trade showed higher prices for gold and silver outside India.

Despite the contrast, traders and jewellery buyers remain cautious due to potential price swings. According to fresh market quotes, 24K gold is priced at about ₹1,59,400 for 10 grams, while 22K gold is around ₹1,46,117 for 10 grams. Silver at 999 fine is near ₹2,40,200 per kilogram.

The MCX Gold contract ended August 26 at roughly ₹1,59,000 per 10 grams, down about 0.42%. The MCX Silver contract finished the prior session around ₹2,39,000 per kilogram, lower by roughly 0.27%.
