Gold and Silver Prices Rebound on Easing Oil Prices and Weaker Dollar
Gold and silver prices rebounded on September 18 as easing crude oil prices, softer US Treasury yields, and a weaker dollar sparked renewed investor interest in precious metals.
The recovery came after recent volatility linked to the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and its guidance for at least one more rate increase this year. However, cooling inflation concerns have offered some relief to bullion investors.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), October gold futures traded around ₹1.53 lakh to ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams, while December silver futures were near ₹2.41 lakh per kg.
The gains indicate that investors are regaining confidence in bullion despite the Federal Reserve's hawkish signals. Easing crude oil prices have emerged as a key factor behind the latest recovery in precious metals.
