Gold and Silver Prices Soar in India Amidst Festive Season

Gold and silver prices surged this week in India, driven by the onset of the festive season. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold prices rose ₹8,257 to reach ₹1,60,620 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold.

The price of 22-carat gold also increased, reaching ₹1,47,128 per 10 grams. Silver prices jumped by ₹12,788 to ₹2,46,630 per kilogram.

The IBJA releases gold and silver prices twice daily, during the morning and evening sessions. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,62,440 per 10 grams by the close of the market.
