Gold and Silver Prices Surge Amid Ongoing US-Iran Tensions
Gold and silver prices rose on July 27 in both international and Pakistani markets. Gold saw a moderate increase, while silver made a stronger upward move as investors tracked geopolitical and economic developments.
The international gold price reached $4,090 per ounce, up by approximately $37.50. Silver climbed to $59.10 per ounce, gaining nearly $1.00.
These prices affected local markets in Pakistan, with the international bullion market's upward movement influencing domestic rates. Gold was priced at Rs431,500 per tola, and silver at Rs6,350 per tola.
The conflict between the United States and Iran remains a significant source of uncertainty for commodity markets, but it's not the only factor influencing gold prices. Recent reports indicate that gold has also been responding to changes in crude oil prices, the US dollar, and expectations surrounding Federal Reserve interest-rate decisions.
