Gold and Silver Prices Surge in India
The prices of gold and silver have surged in India on July 27. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of one kilogram of silver has increased by ₹2,050 to reach ₹2,24,771 today.
The price of 24-carat gold has risen by ₹751, reaching ₹1.45 lakh. This is a significant rise after a period where prices declined. The IBJA data also shows that the price for 999-purity gold was ₹1,43,781 per 10 grams last week and rose to ₹1,44,532 on Monday.
The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw an increase in gold prices, with silver futures witnessing a sharp surge. The price of silver rose by approximately ₹2,600 per kilogram, but remains below its all-time high.
