Gold Bounces Near November Lows Amidst Energy Price Spike
Gold futures have been slowly making their way towards levels seen in early November of last year, prompting analysts to suggest it could be an attractive time for investors to buy. The Dow has had a poor start to September, marking its worst since 2008.
The rise in energy prices, which have increased by over 30% since the 4th of July, has led some to seek refuge in gold. Gold's current price range is within its 52-week band, having reached a low of $36.60 in early November and a high of $5,600 in early January.
Since then, it has been largely range-bound. The 10-year U.S. Treasury yields have also seen significant growth, reaching their highest level since 2007.
