Gold prices rose 1% to $4,092.43 per ounce as oil prices fell, easing concerns about inflation and monetary tightening by the US Federal Reserve.

The decline in oil prices made non-yielding assets like gold more attractive, leading to gains across other precious metals.

Silver surged 2.8% to $59.82 per ounce, while platinum and palladium rose 7.1% each to $1,745.42 and $1,355.13 per ounce, respectively.
