Gold Edges Up Rs 100 in Delhi Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Gold prices inched up by Rs 100 to reach Rs 1,47,500 per 10 grams in Delhi on Tuesday. The yellow metal of 99.9% purity had closed at Rs 1,47,400 per 10 grams the previous day.
Silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 2,26,500 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes), according to the All India Sarafa Association.
Traders said gold saw modest buying in the domestic market, while silver traded in a narrow range.
A senior analyst from HDFC Securities attributed the rise in gold prices to investors' cautious stance amid ongoing US-Iran diplomatic developments and uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.
