Gold Falls ₹600 as Dollar Strengthens Ahead of Key Inflation Data

Gold prices in India took a hit after a four-day rally, falling ₹600 to ₹1,66,500 per 10 grams in Delhi. The decline was attributed to weakness in overseas markets and a stronger US dollar ahead of an important inflation data release.

Silver, however, moved in the opposite direction, rising ₹500 to ₹2,50,500 per kilogram. Despite this domestic increase, silver remained under pressure in international markets due to profit booking after gold's strong rise over several weeks.

Market experts pointed out that investors booked profits after gold's multi-month highs this year, supported by lower US bond yields and steady purchases by China's central bank.
