Gold Falls Amidst Rising Tensions Between US and Iran
The price of gold has dipped slightly to around $4,446.50 an ounce amidst rising US Treasury yields and higher oil prices following renewed tensions between the US and Iran.
Silver, however, edged up modestly to $66.36 an ounce in response to these developments.
The geopolitical conflict near the Strait of Hormuz has pushed oil prices above $90 for Brent crude, increasing inflation concerns and the likelihood of further Fed rate hikes.
