Gold Falls on Low Demand as Silver Prices Rise
Gold futures declined on low demand, falling by Rs 208 to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in futures trade. This decline was attributed to weaker spot demand, according to analysts.
The price drop was observed for October delivery contracts, which traded lower by 0.13% at Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 2,452 lots.
Globally, gold futures also declined by 0.12% to $4,432.26 per ounce in New York. In contrast, silver futures rose 0.19% to Rs 2.40 lakh per kg in the futures trade due to fresh position build-up by participants.
