Gold Falls on MCX as Global Prices Decline
Gold and silver futures started the week on a weak note in India's domestic market. According to data from the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures opened lower, down ₹881 at ₹1,53,500 per 10 gram. This comes as global prices of gold and silver also fell.
In the international market, gold futures on Comex were trading near $4,400 per ounce, while silver was trading near $66.70 per ounce. On the MCX, silver futures opened lower, down ₹1,599 at ₹2,40,004 per kg.
The prices of gold and silver have been volatile in recent times. Earlier this year, gold futures had touched a high of ₹1,80,779 per 10 gram, while silver futures had reached a high of ₹4,20,048 per kg.
