Gold Falls, Silver Rises in International Markets on July 29
The international gold market saw a slight decline on Wednesday afternoon as prices edged lower to $4,027 per ounce. This represents a decrease of approximately $0.9 per ounce from the previous update.
In contrast, silver prices moved in the opposite direction and recorded a small increase. The international silver rate was recorded at $57.4 per ounce, representing an increase of nearly $0.3 per ounce.
The mixed movement kept investors cautious as precious metals continued to trade within a narrow range. Gold is widely viewed as a safe-haven asset, while silver has strong industrial demand, which can sometimes support its prices even when gold is trading lower.
