Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined by ₹120 to ₹1,63,109 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,595 lots. This decline was attributed to weaker spot demand for the precious metal.

Globally, gold futures also fell by 0.23% to $4,641.42 per ounce in New York.

Analysts pointed out that the decrease in prices is a result of reduced demand for gold, which has been a stable investment option for many years.
