Gold Futures Fall as US COMEX Prices Decline
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today due to the decline in gold prices on the United States Commodity Exchange (COMEX). The spot-month September 2026 contract decreased by $7.40 per troy ounce to US$4,401.70 from US$4,409.10 on Wednesday.
The October 2026 contract also fell to US$4,417.10 per troy ounce from US$4,424.50 the previous day, while November 2026 slipped to US$4,432.40 per troy ounce from US$4,438.80.
Trading volume rose to 250 lots from 213 lots yesterday, and open interest widened to 299 contracts from 266 contracts.
