Gold Futures Plummet Rs 849 Amid Global Price Drop
Gold futures in India dropped by Rs 849 to Rs 1,41,972 per 10 grams on MCX due to weaker spot demand. This decline was also seen globally with gold futures falling by 0.47% to USD 4,030.29 per ounce in New York.
The drop in precious metal prices can be attributed to the decrease in demand for yellow metal. Analysts pointed out that the lower price is a result of weaker spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for August delivery traded at Rs 1,41,972 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 729 lots.
