Turkish Natural Gas Market Sees Decline in Trade Volume

Turkey's spot natural gas market saw a decline in trade volume on Thursday, according to data from the Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST). The total trade value dropped by 12.6% to approximately 9.02 million liras.

The cumulative natural gas trade volume for the day was around 525,000 cubic meters, while the price per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas reached 17,193.31 Turkish liras on Thursday's spot market.

Turkey received about 114.29 million cubic meters of natural gas on that day. The US dollar to Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 47.34 liras as of 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Friday, according to the data provided by EXIST.
